I'm not complaining because in a few months I'll be whining about how cold it is and what a pain it is to get three kids bundled up just to go to the grocery store.
Anyway....we had a GREAT time and have our pumpkins for Halloween!!
Funny story. After we were done at the pumpkin farm we decided to head into Vinton and eat at a restaurant Dustin had heard was good. We pulled up and it looked like a DIVE. I mean, like, I looked at Dustin and said, "We may not come out of this place alive." But in the spirit of adventure we decided to give it a whirl. As soon as I walked in I wanted to run screaming. It was scary. Like, take a bath and hug your children scary.
But instead of insulting owner we decided to risk it and stay. The dining room was full so how bad could it possibly be, right?
Bad. Very bad. And I was reminded to always go with my gut.

What was the name of the restaurant - was it the 218 Cafe or something like that? Steve and I were looking for a place to eat in Vinton one time and saw that restaurant and decided to pass. If it's the same one you went to I'm glad we didn't go there! I'm not sure if it's open year-round, but Leon's Malt Shop is really good the next time you're in Vinton!
