Conversation #1

This morning we were heading to Menard's to get a few things for our weekend projects and Josh was commenting on the freshly fallen snow.

Josh: Mom, do you know why it's not good to run on ice?
Me: Um...for the same reason it's not good to run at swimming lessons, like you did this week: because you can fall.
Josh: Yeah.
Me: You're lucky you didn't fall and crack your head open.
Josh: Yeah...I just fell on butt. And that's already cracked open.

Josh: Mom...I want to play in the snow today.
Me: Josh...I know. You've told me a dozen times already.
Dustin: You can when we get home but it is already starting to melt.
Josh: (angrily) Doesn't Jesus know that little kids like to play in the snow?
